Introduction of women manage Custom Hiring center for sustainable agri-mechanization, Terai, Nepal

Ms. Ram Kumari Chaudhari, chairperson of Ganesh Agri Mechanization women group in Siraha district of Nepal explains about the difficulties the women faced in perfoming the traditional agriculture operations and its impact on their increased workload and time both at house hold level and in performing the farming operations. She explains about how their work load has been reduced and opportunities for income generation has been created with FAO support towards women led mechanization. And, how the introduction of machines and equipments are managed by the groups and services provided to group members and other farmers based on custom hiring services managed by the women mechanization group led by Ms. Chaudhari.
