⁣Thought leaders and decision makers from businesses, governments, and academic institutions across Southeast Asia and the United States gathered on May 19, 2025, at Stanford University for the Southeast Asia Summit on Prosperity and Sustainability. The summit explored energy security and food security as they support robust sustainable economic prosperity and regional security in Southeast Asia. This panel on Food Security/Blue Foods had for panelists David Cohen, WSD-Handa Professor of Human Rights and International Justice, Professor of Environmental Social Sciences; Tan Sri Nazir Razak, Founding Partner of Ikhlas Capital, Chairman of ASEAN Business Advisory Council; and the Honorable Gita Wirjawan, Visiting Scholar, Precourt Institute for Energy; Former Minister of Trade, Republic of Indonesia. It was moderated by Jim Leape, Co-director of the Center for Ocean Solutions and William and Eva Price Senior Fellow at the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment.
