Launched in 2023, the project, "Improving Protection and Safeguards of the Most Vulnerable Conflict-Affected Households and Strengthening Food Security Analysis and Coordination in Northeast Nigeria," has enhanced resilience and sustainability for vulnerable communities in the region. Through interventions in crop production, Safe Access to Fuel and Energy (SAFE), and the Food Security Sector (FSS), the initiative has strengthened livelihoods and improved food security for those most affected by conflict. Conflict and climate change have driven severe food insecurity in Northeast Nigeria. Many in the BAY states face worsening hunger. With the support of the EU Humanitarian Aid, FAO is enhancing energy access and boosting food security for vulnerable households. Follow FAO on social media!
