⁣The 50x2030 Initiative to Close the Agricultural Data Gap aims to support agricultural data collection, processing, and dissemination efforts of National Statistical Offices and Ministries of Agriculture. The Initiative responds to the demand for more and higher quality agricultural data, in view of fostering evidence-based decision-making of national Governments and countries’ ability to monitor the Sustainable Development Goal indicators, particularly those related to agriculture. FAO, as implementing partner of the Initiative, provides technical assistance to countries and builds statistical capacities along the whole data production process, to promote the development of sustainable national survey systems. This video shows the process and impact of the integration of the WEN module - a component aimed at measuring women’s empowerment and nutrition - during the data collection activities in Zanzibar, Tanzania – one out of three countries where WEN is being implemented.
